Our Champions Experiences

These six short videos contain great advice from our Champions on how to begin using Savvygoat. This experience is based on lessons learned from their own pilot courses.

How do you set about structuring your course content to create a savvygoat mountain?

How flexible can you make the course structure and why make it flexible or rigid?

What is a milestone reflection task and how does it work?

Are there any limits to the number of students or team that can take part in Savvygoat?

How many Herders do you need, who are they and how much work is there in being a Herder?

How do you organize and award the points to teams?

Hull University Business School Pilot Experience

In a recent pilot Savvygoat partnered with Hull University Business School to support several courses. These three videos were filmed during the “pitching event” at the end of the module “Starting a New Business” and include several interviews with students and the academic team.

The Student Experience

Savvygoat is good due to the fact you can gauge your groups progress in comparison to others and can work to surpass them.

A competitive environment always drives us to think more creatively and work smart.

I really do like the concept, it can encourage friendly competition, help people stick to deadlines and in general just provide motivation to get things done.

The motivational aspect of the application. because in my opinion competitive environment always drives to think more creative and work smart.

The feedback tool was great - saves time from emailing back and forth like other modules.

Between Semester 1 without Savvygoat and Semester 2 with Savvygoat the difference in the quality of our work was huge.

I enjoyed the fact that deadlines of tasks were available, thereby motivating individuals in our group to submit their work.

Savvygoat gave structure to our work that the different milestones are split up into tasks so that you can see what needs to be done.
